Job summary

The George Laboratory at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida, is recruiting a highly motivated Research Associate II to join our translational team focused on ovarian and endometrial cancer.

You will work with patient-derived models, conduct drug-treatment and viability assays, and collaborate with cancer biologists, bioengineers, and clinicians to advance new therapeutic strategies. Strong cell culture and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, biomedical sciences, bioengineering, or related field is required.
• Hands-on laboratory research experience is required.
• Experience with mammalian cell culture strongly preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Process fresh patient tumor specimens per established laboratory protocols.
• Culture and treat patient-derived microtumors and mammalian cell lines.
• Perform drug-treatment and viability assays.
• Conduct molecular, cellular, and imaging-based assays.
• Document and organize experimental data with the team.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and equipment.
