The Simpkins laboratory at the University of Pennsylvania is seeking a Temporary Employee in the Department of OBGYN to support translational cancer research focused on gynecologic malignancies. You will assist with maintaining patient-derived and cell-line models, performing cell culture and organoid work, and supporting experiments under supervision.

This non-exempt, entry-level role offers hands-on training in preclinical models and collaborative work with experienced researchers.

• Maintain ovarian and uterine cancer cell lines and organoids.
• Assist with routine lab experiments including cell culture, organoid culture, drug treatment and viability assays.
• Support data collection, documentation, and preliminary analyses under supervision.
• Collaborate with senior lab members to advance translational gynecologic oncology projects.
• Learn and apply new laboratory techniques as needed for assigned projects.
• Participate in laboratory meetings and discuss experimental planning and results.
