The GBM Translational Center of Excellence at the University of Pennsylvania seeks a research assistant to support biobanking and clinical research coordination in cancer studies. You will interact with oncologists, clinicians, and patients, screen for eligibility, and assist in specimen handling and data management.

This two-component role involves clinic coordination and laboratory support, with emphasis on organization, communication, and collaboration across Penn Medicine teams.

Qualificações

• Experience coordinating biobank tasks in a clinical research setting.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to screen for study eligibility and obtain informed consent.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as lead biobanking coordinator for major study areas and communicate with clinicians and patients.
• Screen for study inclusion, recruit and consent subjects, and arrange laboratory procedures.
• Learn to handle human specimens, process and bank samples, and ship to collaborators.
• Learn to perform data entry in REDCap/VELOS/Excel and abstract medical records.
• Possibly design study databases and perform quality control with minimal supervision.
