Job summary

University of Pennsylvania’s OBGYN Research division seeks a Postdoctoral Researcher to advance translational studies in the female reproductive tract. The role centers on human tissue and organoid models, with collaborative work across labs and clinical teams to translate findings into therapies for infertility and gynecologic disorders.

The successful candidate will lead experiments, develop independent directions, mentor trainees, and contribute to grant efforts.

Qualifications

PhD/MD or equivalent in reproductive biology or related field, with verification for non-U.S. degrees.
Strong record of first-author publications or manuscripts in preparation.
Hands-on mammalian tissue culture and primary cell/organoid maintenance.
Experience with nucleic acid and protein assays (RT-qPCR, immunoblotting, ELISA).
Ability to work independently, troubleshoot, and drive projects forward.
Proven initiative, collaboration, and ability to pursue funding ideas.

Responsibilities

Design and execute experiments using human reproductive tract tissue and organoids.
Maintain culture systems, including derivation, passaging, and differentiation.
Perform molecular assays and prepare samples for bulk, single-cell, and spatial analyses.
Acquire and optimize tissue imaging including IHC and multiplexed platforms.
Analyze imaging and sequencing data with collaborators and publish results.
Maintain rigorous documentation and contribute to SOPs.
Coordinate tissue acquisition with clinical teams under IRB protocols.
Prepare figures, abstracts, and presentations for meetings and grants.
Mentor REI fellows, residents, and students; support lab operations and safety.
