Job summary

Takeda is seeking an Associate Director, Global Biomarker Lead, Inflammation, GI2 TAU, based in Cambridge, MA. You will drive translational biomarker strategies across preclinical and clinical programs, leading the Translational Sub-Team and partnering with GI‑DDU and cross-functional stakeholders.

The role requires a PhD with 7+ years, deep biomarker expertise, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

PhD in a scientific discipline with 7+ years of relevant experience.
Deep expertise in translational biomarkers and multi-omics approaches within immune‑mediated inflammatory diseases.
Proven leadership ability, including experience leading teams within a matrix organization and working independently.
Strong analytical, oral and written communication, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Design and execute translational research that identifies and validates biomarkers for mechanism of action and drug response.
Lead translational biomarker strategy development and execution for the clinical stage portfolio.
Lead the Translational Sub-Team (TST) and coordinate cross‑functional teams to build consensus on biomarker strategy.
Represent Translational and Biomarker Research on project teams to support translational medicine goals across clinical development.
Implement fit‑for‑purpose validation for biomarker assays and ensure high scientific quality of biomarker data.
