Job summary

Golden Route Operations, LLC is seeking a part-time night staff to support residents in a transitional living program in Brighton, MO. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and trauma-informed care while maintaining a professional demeanor with youth and colleagues.

Hours are 10:00pm–8:00am on Thursdays and Fridays, with duties including crisis intervention when needed and ensuring residents attend school on school days. This position requires flexibility for long and irregular hours.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in a human services related field, and/or experience with youth in residential or transitional living programs.
• Minimum: High School Degree, at least 21 years old, able to obtain a Class E driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Overnight safety and well-being of residents.
• Provide timely, substantive documentation: 15-minute checks, incident reporting, shift changeover documents, med pass, and email updates.
• Participate in changeover meetings and at least one staff meeting per month.
• Maintain a safe, clean group home environment.
• Demonstrate professional demeanor with visitors, residents, and professionals; act reflectively, and route information to the appropriate parties.
• Interact with residents with respect, support, and trauma-informed care, promoting patience and cultural sensitivity.
• Proactively identify problems and work as a team to develop solutions.
• Provide trauma-informed crisis intervention as needed.
• Ensure residents attend school on school days.
• Follow procedures during critical incidents including notification of case managers and licensing units; maintain resident/staff ratios.

Description of Responsibilities

• Staff will be responsible for the safety and well-being of residents overnight.
• Staff will provide required documentation that is both timely and substantive including 15-minute checks, incident reporting, shift changeover documents, med pass, and email updates as required.
• Staff will participate in changeover meetings as well as at least one staff meeting per month.
• Staff will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment in the group home.

  • Staff will ensure that anyone requesting information is connected to the proper parties, provided they are unable to assist them.

• Staff will perform some housekeeping duties such as filing paperwork, light cleaning/organizing, laundry or other tasks designated.
• Staff will follow agency policies and procedures.
• Staff will perform additional duties as requested by the Program Coordinator.
