Job summary

Golden Route Operations, LLC in Brighton, MO is seeking nighttime staff for a transitional living program to support residents in a 10-hour overnight shift. Qualifications

• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in a human services related field, and/or experience working with youth in a residential or transitional living program.
• Minimum: High School Degree, at least 21 years of age, able to obtain a Class E driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Staff will be responsible for the safety and well-being of residents overnight.
• Staff will provide required documentation that is both timely and substantive including 15-minute checks, incident reporting, shift changeover documents, med pass, and email updates as required.
• Staff will participate in changeover meetings as well as at least one staff meeting per month.
• Staff will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment in the group home.
• Professional Demeanor: Staff will conduct themselves in a professional manner with visitors, residents and other professionals.
• Staff will interact in a reflective manner as opposed to a reactive manner.
• Staff will ensure that anyone requesting information is connected to the proper parties, provided they are unable to assist them.
• Interactions with Residents: Staff will convey respect to residents in all interactions, including confrontation.
• Staff/resident interactions will be supportive and build on strengths, rather than criticism.
• Staff actions will promote a trauma informed care model of service provision.
• Staff will demonstrate patience and empathy in all interactions.
• Staff will be sensitive to cultural differences in resident and staff populations.
• Staff will serve as positive role models for youth in the program at all times.
• Staff will be proactive in the identification of problems and will work as a team to develop solutions.
• Staff will provide appropriate and trauma informed crisis intervention as needed.
• Staff will ensure that residents get to school on school days.
• Staff will follow proper procedure during critical incidents including the notification of case managers, licensing unit, and on call, as well as maintain resident/staff ratios at all times.
• Staff will perform some housekeeping duties such as filing paperwork, light cleaning/organizing, laundry or other tasks designated.
• Staff will follow agency policies and procedures.
• Staff will perform additional duties as requested by the Program Coordinator.
