Job summary

UPMC Northwest is seeking an experienced RN for the Transitional Care Unit. This casual, on-site role involves delivering holistic patient care, collaborating with families, and advocating for optimal treatment decisions.

You will document thoroughly and participate in governance and quality initiatives within a supportive team. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of RN experience, PA RN licensure (or multistate license), and BLS/CPR certification within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of RN experience.
• BSN preferred.
• UPMC approved nursing certification required.
• MSN or DNP may substitute for BSN.
• Completion of one My Nursing Career Ladder contribution required.
• Current PA RN licensure or multistate license.
• BLS or CPR (AHA) certification required within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Apply the nursing process to deliver holistic, patient centered care.
• Partner with patients and families to develop and achieve care goals.
• Communicate clearly with the care team and advocate for appropriate care decisions.
• Maintain accurate, thorough documentation that supports continuity of care.
