Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in disability studies, social work, healthcare, special education, psychology, child and family sciences, counseling or related field.
• Three to five years of experience or training beyond a bachelor’s degree working with persons with disabilities providing transition training, technical assistance and/or direct services.

Responsibilities

• Researches, reviews and implements transition to adulthood best practice and training activities.
• Designs and oversees training to youth and young adults with disabilities, families, providers and employers.
• Coordinates and provides staff support for disseminating best practices at trainings and conferences.
• Cultivates partnerships with local, state, and national organizations to promote transition services.
• Coordinates compliance with internal program policies for all transition services.
• Guides staff to develop schedules, program structures, and training curricula.
• Documents and tracks transition activities including data collection for reports.
• Provides guidance for reporting and monitors implementation of transition services.
• Monitors advocacy support and self-sufficiency development to individuals with disabilities.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
