The University of Arizona in the Greater Phoenix Area is seeking a Project Coordinator for Transition Services in Family and Community Medicine (Northern AZ). The role focuses on improving outcomes for youth with disabilities and overseeing a statewide Pre-Employment Transition Services project, as well as regional summer work programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations, supervise staff, coordinate and oversee project activities, complete project administrative coordination, and make operational decisions.
  • Develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with community rehabilitation providers, school personnel, community partners, rehabilitation counselors, family members, students, employers, and state agency representatives.
  • Engage schools and participants statewide, including rural, foster-serving, and Tribal schools.
  • Travel to different schools and community events; may include evenings, weekends, or overnight travel.
  • Identify and develop best practices for Pre-Employment Transition Services and replicate across diverse communities.
  • Provide training and technical assistance on best practices for Vocational Specialists; support staff with mentoring and resources.
