Job summary

Kalamazoo Regional Educational Service Agency (KRESA) is seeking a Paraprofessional in Transition Services in Kalamazoo, MI. This 10-month calendar position pays between $17.93 and $21.98 per hour and includes a signing bonus up to $1,000.

Qualification requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Responsibilities include supporting students, assisting in instruction, data collection, PBIS adherence, and maintaining attendance and records with a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Align services with KRESA Core Values (Collaboration, Innovation, Compassion, Respect, and Integrity) and Culture & Belonging principles.
• Assist with managing difficult behaviors through de-escalation strategies or team restraint when students are in crisis.
• Collect data and progress monitor student’s academic interventions and behavior objectives.
• Lead and manages student classroom activities outside of classroom instruction.
• Assist in instruction of students as designed by the teacher.
• Maintains attendance and records as required by school and teacher.
