Job summary

RTX is seeking a Transition Quality Engineer (P5) in East Hartford, CT to lead global transitions for hardware from contract review through FAI approval and production readiness. You will work with suppliers to uphold AS13100/PPAP/APQP/RCC standards and drive risk mitigation across the supply chain.

The role requires proactive leadership, the ability to manage cross-functional teams, and experience with RCCA, PFMEA, MSA and QAD tools to ensure timely milestones and robust quality signatures.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading quality programs in aerospace.
• Familiarity with AS13100, PPAP, APQP and RCC requirements.
• Ability to drive risk mitigation and supplier quality improvements.
• Strong collaboration across global teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead global transitions hardware from contract review to FAI approval.
• Mitigate quality risk using PFMEA, PFD, PCP, MSA and KPC.
• Facilitate contract review and flowdown with suppliers.
• Drive ZERO and CRV events to reduce escapes.
• Provide training on PW quality systems to suppliers.
