Job summary

Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind (CSDB) seeks a dedicated educator to deliver standards-based instruction to 6th–12th grade Deaf/hard-of-hearing students, focusing on transition and college/career readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Education or closely related field.
• Master's Degree in Education with Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing specialization preferred and required within three years of hire.
• Must hold or be eligible for substitute teacher licensure or educator licensure in Colorado.
• Special Education licensure or eligibility endorsed for Deaf/Hard-of-Hearing within three years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver standards-based instruction to 6th–12th grade Deaf/hard-of-hearing students.
• Develop lesson plans and assessments aligned with IEPs and school reform tenets.
• Collaborate in co-teaching teams and participate in education/assessment planning.
• Utilize technology to support instruction and student engagement.
• Support social-emotional development and literacy.
• Lead and participate in IEP meetings and progress monitoring.
