Job summary

Transdev in Beaverton, Oregon is seeking a Window Dispatcher to oversee road service and provide customer support on the TriMet LIFT contract. You will coordinate with Operators and Maintenance to ensure on-time performance, safety and effective service delivery.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of dispatching experience, strong communication and problem-solving skills, and flexibility for varied shifts. DOT drug testing may apply; internal candidates with strong safety records are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience dispatching.
• Excellent verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
• DOT drug testing and physical may apply; DOT 49 CFR Part 40 compliance.
• Internal candidates – must have an excellent safety record (no more than 1 accident).

Responsibilities

• Oversee road service assigned carriers by tracking trip performance measures, route begin on time, performance, incidents, etc.
• Works closely with the Scheduler or Schedules upcoming workday shifts for bus drivers.
• Verbally directs/guides Bus Drivers in the understanding of basic work rules, scheduling of planned absences, bidding practices for open work, etc.
• Coordinates with maintenance to obtain equipment availability for service and assigns equipment to drivers.
• Manage emergency situations for vehicle operators, act as liaison between the carrier and emergency services.
• Manage daily service by reviewing route performance and proactively responding to situations that impact customer service.
