Job summary

Hanover Area Chamber-Commerce is seeking a full-time mechanic based in Adams County to perform general servicing, preventative maintenance, and diagnostic work on fleet vehicles. The role includes coordinating repairs, keeping accurate records, and ensuring safety compliance.

Training will occur in York, PA with occasional overnight travel. The position reports to the Maintenance Manager and requires own hand tools and flexibility for shifts.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of full-time experience as a maintenance technician diagnosing malfunctions and repairing medium-duty vehicles.
• Knowledge of equipment and specialized tools.
• Knowledge of medium-duty and heavy-duty vehicle maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty vehicles; demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Must possess own hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Performs general servicing and preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles.
• Diagnoses and troubleshoots and performs minor repairs to keep fleet in good working order.
• Evaluates and estimates repair costs; coordinates and prioritizes work.
• Maintains safety and records; conducts road calls to service disabled vehicles as needed.
• Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations; trains for new equipment technologies.
