Job summary

rabbittransit is seeking a Vehicle Mechanic to maintain our York, PA fleet and ensure safe, reliable operation. The role requires verifiable mechanic experience or a vocational education background and a High School diploma.

CDL is required or will be supported by the organization to obtain it within the first year. The position offers a Four Day work week with a rotating 8 PM-6:30 AM or 12:00-10:30 PM schedule and 24/7 operations.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent is required.
• Verifiable mechanic experience or vocational education is required.
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair principles and tools.
• Ability to diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform general servicing and preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair issues to keep vehicles on the road.
• Conduct state safety inspections as required by Penn DOT.
• Coordinate with other technicians and manage related work orders.
