Qualifications

  • Experience operating motor vehicles on a commercial basis.
  • Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience and education may substitute for one another.
  • Knowledge of motor vehicle operations, passenger loading/unloading methods, traffic rules and regulations, and Federal/State DOT regulations.
  • Ability to communicate and train others.

Responsibilities

  • Operate motor vehicles such as automobiles, vans, and buses to transport passengers.
  • Prepare or oversee preparation of logs and records for vehicle operation.
  • Perform basic vehicle maintenance, fueling, and minor repairs.
  • Conduct safety checks before departure and during service; maintain mileage records.
  • Assist in training others and safely loading/unloading passengers including ADA devices.
