Modern Railway Systems is seeking a Transit Systems Engineer to drive system-wide design for railroad and transit vehicle movements on the ESFV Light Rail project. You will define system requirements, interfaces, and performance criteria to ensure proper integration of signal, communications, and electrification systems for safe, reliable operations.

The role requires 2-5 years of transit experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with a diverse project team.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of experience in transit system design or similar environments.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License in good standing.
• Ability to travel occasionally for corporate events/training.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage system-level integration of transit systems.
• Perform block design calculations and braking analysis.
• Conduct traction power return current analysis for safety.
• Prepare systems documentation and test procedures.
• Support system design reviews to ensure alignment with objectives.
