Job summary

Consertus is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the development, integration, and deployment of software and hardware systems for transportation and transit clients. The role is full-time and onsite in Los Angeles, CA, with a salary range of $140,000 - $160,000 per year.

The candidate will coordinate system development tasks, maintain technical documentation, and ensure successful solution implementation across client environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering, software/hardware integration, or related disciplines.
• Strong understanding of system design, integration, and testing processes.
• Experience managing technical documentation and system configurations.
• Ability to perform performance and reliability analysis of complex systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in transportation software and hardware.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate software and hardware product interfaces in CAD/AVL and fare collection.
• Manage design, integration, and testing of system components.
• Oversee transitions into customer deployment environments.
• Develop project plans covering specifications, requirements, and diagrams.
• Create and maintain design documents, matrices, and system diagrams.
• Document and manage system configurations and change control.
• Ensure successful deployment of solutions across environments.
• Maintain knowledge of enterprise applications and IT interfaces.
• Perform performance and reliability analyses of end-to-end protocols.
• Provide training and guidance to staff as needed.
