City of Albuquerque is seeking a supervisor to oversee motor coach route and paratransit operations within the Operations Division of the Transit Department. The role coordinates activities with other divisions, outside agencies and the public, and provides high-level staff assistance to the Transit Manager/Operations.
This safety-sensitive position requires handling emergencies, implementing policies, and ensuring compliance with drug and alcohol testing.
Supervise, plan and coordinate motor coach route and paratransit activities and operations within the Operations Division of the Transit Department; coordinate assigned activities with other divisions, outside agencies and the general public and provide highly responsible and complex staff assistance to the Transit Manager/Operations.
This is a safety sensitive position subject to random drug/alcohol testing.

Education and experience directly related to the minimum requirements below may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in business; Five (5) years of transit operator or transportation management experience; To include one (1) year of supervisory or lead experience.
Possession of a valid New Mexico driver's license, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.
Possession of a valid City Operator's Permit (COP) within six (6) months from date of hire.
Possession of a valid New Mexico Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with a Passenger (P) endorsement within a two week period from completion of City CDL training.
Must be able to maintain CDL once obtained.
Office environment; field environment; exposure to smoke, fumes, gases.
Essential and supplemental functions may require maintaining physical condition necessary for sitting, walking or standing for prolonged periods of time; operating motorized equipment and vehicles.
