Job summary

TYLin Group is seeking a Structural Engineering Designer for its Rail + Transit team in New York City. This early-career role (1–5 years) offers hands-on experience in structural design for major transit facilities, mentorship from senior engineers, and exposure to challenging projects in a fast-paced environment.

You will gain expertise in codes including AREMA, AASHTO, IBC, and NYC requirements, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a hybrid work setting with growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required or equivalent.
• 1–5 years of structural engineering experience in transit/infrastructure preferred.
• EIT certification is preferred; PE licensure a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with structural design and analysis for stations, maintenance facilities, coachyards, and right-of-way structures.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, specifications, and reports under supervision.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, electrical, and architectural engineers to integrate structural solutions.
