Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Driver Emergency Aid in Tacoma, WA. This role involves unarmed patrols at a public transportation location, ensuring safety, assisting riders, and maintaining a professional presence.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities at public transportation facilities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of stations, platforms, parking areas, adjacent grounds, and facility perimeters.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, document observations and incidents, and report maintenance concerns or hazards.
• Assist with directing visitors and passengers, providing information, and supporting a professional environment at assigned locations.
