Job summary

Allied Universal® in Salem, OR is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer for transit locations. You will patrol, deter incidents, assist passengers and employees, and maintain a visible security presence in a public transportation environment.

You will apply customer service skills, report incidents, and follow site-specific policies and emergency procedures while working a flexible schedule. Allied Universal offers a supportive team culture, ongoing training, and opportunities to grow

Qualifications

• One year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and baton is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background check and drug screen as part of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, passengers, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, administrative spaces, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location; report suspicious behavior, hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Document incidents, patrols, and daily activities accurately in required reports while maintaining a professional presence in a public transportation environment.
