Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services provider, is seeking an Armed Security Officer for transit coverage in Denver, CO. The role involves protecting riders and staff, patrolling facilities, and maintaining a visible deterrent to security incidents.

You will handle customer service, incident reporting, and emergency response in a fast-paced, public transportation setting. The schedule reflects daytime shifts with consistent hours.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Military Police, Corrections Officer, Armed Security, or Certified Law Enforcement Graduate experience.
• 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Armed Guard Card or License.
• DD214 with Honorable Discharge, an Associate’s Degree or 60 College Credits, a Police Academy Certificate, or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
• A State, County, or City Issued Security License is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to transit riders, visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while coordinating with transit personnel and public emergency responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, stations, vehicles, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe passenger and vehicle activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, property damage, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain required documentation related to patrol activities, calls for service, and security-related observations.
