Job summary

Sound Transit seeks a safety and security professional to implement and support the transportation safety and security mission under the Transportation Safety & Security Manager and Senior Specialist(s). The role supports certification programs, risk assessments, and collaboration with agencies as needed.

The incumbent will develop policies, oversee site safety, and coordinate with local responders, regulators, and internal teams to promote a proactive safety culture within Sound Transit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4 years in safety/security programs with hazard/threat assessments.
• Valid state driver's license; ability to inspect construction sites, stations, and facilities.
• Experience developing physical security protection systems and conducting safety reviews.

Responsibilities

• Develop safety and security policies, guidelines and manuals.
• Oversee day-to-day safety activities for rail facilities and alignments.
• Review design packages for safety and security compliance.
