Job summary

Sound Transit seeks a Transportation Safety & Security Specialist in Seattle, hybrid work arrangement. The role supports the Safety & Security Manager with the certification program, assessments, and life-cycle management across multiple rail facilities and modes.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Security or related field, plus four years in safety and security programs. Travel to sites and collaboration with federal/state partners are involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Engineering, Security, Risk Management, or related field.
• Experience in safety and security programs and assessments.
• Ability to develop policies, procedures and reports.

Responsibilities

• Develop internal safety and security rules, policies and guidelines.
• Oversee day-to-day safety and security activities for multiple modes.
• Conduct safety reviews of design packages and construction submittals.
• Promote a positive safety culture and coordinate with partners.
