Qualifications

• BA/BS in Construction Management, Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Safety Studies or related field + 10 years of related experience or equivalent
• Proven experience applying FTA processes and APTA standards
• 10 years of related experience driving SMS-based hazard management, safety risk assessment, corrective action oversight, and regulatory compliance

Responsibilities

• Lead hazard identification, risk evaluation, and mitigation (e.g., PHAs/TVAs) and track corrective actions.
• Develop and manage CEL/CIL and DCCC/CSCC documents for technical closure.
• Conduct hazard analysis and facilitate multidisciplinary workshops with cross-functional teams.
• Prepare SSC plans, documents, and reports; conduct peer reviews and assist SSC training.
• Support System Safety & Security Certification and SSPP compliance; produce monthly progress reports.
• Track and monitor hazards; align CDRLs with the PMP and project documents.
• Engage with agency clients SSO’s and project managers for oversight.
• Provide field safety oversight for construction, maintenance, and transit facility projects
• Supervise ES&H personnel and provide technical leadership to ensure regulatory standards are enforced
• Draft reports for Federal, State and local agencies and communicate programs for compliance
