Job summary

The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) Transportation Department is seeking a Transportation Planner in the Land Use and Mobility Options program to support transit projects in the Dallas–Fort Worth region. You will work with transit partners, local governments, and stakeholders on coordination and mobility management.

Responsibilities include assisting with short-term transit projects, developing service delivery, and analyzing data from multiple sources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in analytical, quantitative methods or related field.
• At least one year of work-related experience.
• Strong communication and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with coordination, implementation, management, and assessment of short-term transit projects.
• Build supportive community networks with partner agencies and stakeholders.
• Support development of traditional and innovative transit service delivery in a multimodal region.
• Assist with transit planning, service planning, analysis, and design tasks.
• Draft correspondence, technical reports, and grant applications.
• Apply transit data (performance, ridership, demographics) in planning tasks.
• Conduct research, analyze regulations, and prepare presentations.
