Job summary

North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) is seeking a Transportation Planner II to support Transit Regional Coordination and Mobility Management in the Dallas–Fort Worth region. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in analytical, quantitative methods (Transportation Planning, Urban/Regional Planning, Public Administration, Engineering, or related field)
• At least one year of work-related experience

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the coordination, implementation, management, and assessment of short-term transit-related projects, including tracking progress and deliverables
• Building supportive community networks with partner agencies and conducting outreach
• Assisting with the development of traditional and innovative transit service delivery in a multimodal region
• Assisting with technical activities in short-term transit system planning, service planning, analysis, and service design
• Drafting correspondence, technical reports, grant applications, and other documents
• Applying transit-related data such as performance, ridership, financial, demographic, land use, and Census data in planning
• Preparing and delivering oral presentations
• Handling multiple assignments in a deadline-driven environment
• Working both independently and in a team environment
