Job summary

American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials in Washington, DC is hiring a full-time Program Manager for Transit Policy. The role oversees policy and technical activities, recruits task-force membership, and coordinates communications with national partners.

The successful candidate will have at least six years of relevant experience, a transportation-related bachelor’s degree, and strong communication and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Six years of progressively responsible professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required in urban planning, public policy, public administration or related field.
• Excellent written and oral communication, research and analytic skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee policy and technical activities for the Council on Public Transportation.
• Develop and implement transit-related task forces and provide technical assistance to state DOTs.
• Recruit membership for task forces and coordinate peer exchanges, webinars, and conferences.
