Job summary

Mymanatee is seeking a licensed bus driver to operate county routes, transport seniors and the public, and ensure safe, timely service. You will handle fare procedures, provide route information, and perform pre/post-trip vehicle checks.

Role requires a Class B CDL with passenger and air brakes endorsements, DOT physical, and a background check. Strong English communication and courteous public interaction are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CDL Class B with passenger endorsement and air brakes endorsements required.
• Five years driving experience or two years commercial driving experience required.
• Must pass CDL skills test within six weeks with training provided.
• Must pass DOT physical and Level 2 background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate a county passenger bus or van on an assigned route and schedule.
• Assist passengers with entering/exiting vehicle and provide route information.
• Record daily operating data and passenger counts; maintain required reports.
• Enforce safety rules and monitor bus conditions; report issues promptly.
• Communicate clearly with dispatchers, passengers and co-workers.
