Job summary

Regional Transportation District (RTD) is seeking a Supervisor, Operations to oversee bus operators and collaborate with the Regional Operations Center to ensure safe, reliable service and on-time performance. The role requires strong leadership, clear communication, and a commitment to customer experience.

You will participate in incident response, coordinate with dispatch, and support compliance with safety policies and regulatory requirements, including labor relations considerations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in bus operations.
• Must be able to pass DSPD background screening.
• CDL with Passenger Endorsement required; Colorado license, clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Supervise bus operators and manage performance.
• Oversee daily bus operations and ensure safe, reliable service.
• Investigate incidents and coordinate reschedules with dispatch.
• Maintain real-time communication with the Regional Operations Center to coordinate service adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with bus operating rules and safety regulations.
• Document incidents and prepare reports for safety and performance reviews.
