Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA) is seeking an Operations Manager for Bus Operations. The role manages daily transportation operations, schedules, and supervisor staff, with availability across all shifts, holidays, and hours to support service performance.

Qualifications include a 4-year degree, 5 years in public transit operations, and 2 years in management. CDL with appropriate endorsements and a safe driving record are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older and have a 4 year degree.
• Five years of experience in public transit operations with two years of management experience.
• CDL endorsement and a safe driving record may be required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily transportation operations and supervising staff.
• Ensure 24/7 operations communication and reporting.
• Develop operating rules, procedures, and performance metrics.
• Coordinate with Planning and Service Scheduling for changes and bids.
• Manage budget, schedules, and labor within constraints.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and safety procedures.
• Assist in investigations of accidents and customer complaints.
