Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent business management experience.
• Management experience required.
• 3+ years of recent experience in last 5 years managing fixed-route public transit service of similar scope.
• Labor/union negotiations/expenses expertise.
• Understanding of dispatch, scheduling, driver recruitment and DOT/FTA compliance.
• MS Office, analytical, written and verbal communication, and multitasking skills.
• Additional duties based on contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to the operating location to meet annual business plans.
• Manage daily operation of the transportation contract in line with agency policies and company procedures.
• Manage customer relations through direct contact and outreach programs.
• Identify, train, and mentor location staff.
• Communicate with location staff and support teams regularly.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance and fleet availability.
• Oversee safety and training programs to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain client contact to meet expectations.
• Conduct periodic departmental audits.
• Review operational metrics daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Ensure location financial metrics are monitored, reports generated, and actions taken.
• Implement and adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Participate in labor and employee relations activities.
• Provide insights for contract renewals.
• Create and present location annual budget.
