Job summary

The City of Huntsville's Public Transit department is seeking qualified applicants to fill our Transit Maintenance Technician I (2nd Shift) position. A high school diploma or GED is required, with considerable experience in vehicle maintenance or fleet management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma from a regional accrediting agency or GED issued by state agency.
• Valid driver's license.
• CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement desired.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair vehicles used by the Public Transit Department.
• Develop and implement routine vehicle maintenance, repair and inspection programs.
• Inspect licensed taxicabs and limousines to ensure compliance with city ordinances.
