Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Tranist Hub in New York, NY to safeguard clients across government and other sectors. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence, deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service to employees and visitors in a busy transit environment.

This full-time role pays $19.09 per hour with day-time schedule from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Background checks will be conducted as per law.
Drug screening required as a condition of employment.
Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and regulations.
Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors by following security procedures.
Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations using established reporting procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transit facilities to deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor security concerns, suspicious activity, hazards, and access-control issues; report observations promptly.
Assist with directing passengers and visitors, providing information, and maintaining a professional presence.
