Job summary

Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit Inc (TCAT) is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the TCAT Maintenance Team in Ithaca, NY. You will lead a diesel fleet mechanics group, assign tasks, and ensure maintenance aligns with priorities and safety regulations.

The role requires 1-3 years of supervisory experience, willingness to obtain CDL with endorsements, and proficiency with computer systems including Excel. We offer comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or team lead experience required, 1-3 years preferred.
• Experience with diesel fleet maintenance is a plus.
• Willing to obtain CDL with endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of mechanics and apprentices performing fleet vehicle maintenance.
• Assign and prioritize repair & maintenance tasks according to management priorities.
• Ensure compliance with NYS and federal transit maintenance regulations (training provided).
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, performance, inspections, service hours, and inventory.
• Collaborate with the Parts Coordinator to keep the shop running smoothly.
