Job summary

RL Controls is seeking a Field Service Technician to perform installations, testing, and commissioning of vehicle systems for mass transit projects. You will install and terminate low-voltage wiring, work with network components, and ensure system performance on site.

The role requires 2+ years of field service experience in mass transit, a technical degree, and willingness to travel nationally. OSHA/FRA safety standards apply; company offers comprehensive benefits and a collaborative team

Qualifications

• 2+ years of field service experience in mass transit
• Technical degree preferred; industry certifications a plus
• Ability to read and apply technical docs, specs and schematics

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on installations and upgrades of vehicle systems
• Conduct system testing, integration and troubleshooting with project team
• Complete site surveys and participate in site meetings
• Install and commission wired and wireless low-voltage network solutions
• Validate network functionality and document results
• Adhere to OSHA, FRA, and RL Controls safety and PPE standards
