Job summary

WSP is seeking an experienced Project Manager – Fare Collection Program to lead complex fare collection and transit technology projects for South Florida transit agency clients. This role will be the primary day-to-day PM, coordinating clients, vendors, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

The position requires relocation to the Miami metro area with full onsite work, five days a week.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of post-education project management experience.
• Minimum 5 years managing transit, transportation technology, fare collection, ITS, or large technology implementation projects.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating multiple stakeholders on complex programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience preparing executive presentations and project reports.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Project Manager for fare collection and transit technology projects.
• Act as the primary WSP point of contact with clients, vendors, and project stakeholders.
• Lead project planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting activities.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, action item logs, risk registers, and status reports.
• Facilitate meetings with agency executives, project teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Monitor project progress and identify risks, issues, and schedule impacts requiring management attention.
• Coordinate activities among client staff, technology providers, systems integrators, and subcontractors.
• Prepare executive-level presentations, briefing materials, and project reports.
• Support testing, implementation, operational readiness, and transition planning activities.
• Lead stakeholder engagement and communication efforts.
• Support business development and proposal activities for future transit technology opportunities.
