Job summary

Utah Transit Authority (UTA) is hiring for a Road Crew position to maintain passenger facilities across the system, including bus stops, shelters, stations, and transit hubs. You will also operate snow removal equipment and heavy trucks, perform light maintenance, and handle biohazard cleanup as needed.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid Class A CDL, and DOT medical certification, with payroll at $26.13 per hour plus semi-annual increases up to $31.13, plus potential

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of verifiable maintenance or heavy equipment experience.
• Ability to use hand tools and sign post installation equipment.
• Pass DOT physical and obtain DOT card.
• Must have a valid Class A CDL.
• Be a safe driver with no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years.
• No DUI/DRUG convictions in past 10 years.
• Pass safety courses including Fork Lift Certification and MET test.
• Regular attendance and overtime/holiday availability.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Maintain system-wide passenger facilities: stops, shelters, stations, park & ride lots, restrooms, and hubs.
• Operate snow removal and heavy equipment; clean facilities and sign posts as needed.
• Perform light maintenance tasks and biohazard cleanup.
• Attend required safety trainings and meet shift requirements.
