HDR seeks a Transit Engineering Business Class Leader to guide the design and delivery of complex transit and multimodal projects in North Carolina, with opportunities across the southeastern US. You will lead engineering teams, mentor staff, and partner with public agencies to advance mobility and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 7+ years of experience in transit/rail engineering leadership preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills essential.
• Willingness to travel within NC and Southeast region.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of complex transit projects from planning through final design.
• Serve as principal client liaison with transit agencies and public-sector clients.
• Mentor staff and guide multidisciplinary teams across planning, environmental, and civil disciplines.
• Support business development and capture efforts to grow the transit practice.
