Job summary

The Metropolitan Council seeks an Electronic Repair Technician to repair and maintain Metro Transit radio and bus electronics. You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot multiple systems, and support reporting and data entry tasks.

The role requires an associate degree in Electronic Technology or equivalent, plus two years of two-way radio repair experience. Applicants must lift up to 50 pounds and have a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Two-year Associate's degree or equivalent in Electronic Technology.
• Two or more years of experience with two-way radio repair.
• Experience with UHF, VHF, 800 trunking, electronic test equipment, analog and digital techniques, Windows/DOS.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain Metro Transit's radio system and various bus electronic systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repair bus electronic equipment (signs, counters, PA, DVR, PLCs, controllers).
• Data entry and Crystal Reports for supervisor review (WO entry, AVL database, radio maintenance software).
• Ensure safety and reliability of equipment and support non-revenue gear.
