Job summary

Pahto Public Passage/YN Tribal Transit in Toppenish, WA seeks a Part-Time Non-CDL Bus Driver to transport passengers on defined routes within the Yakama Reservation. This position offers an hourly wage with weekend/holiday rotations and training to advance to a CDL position within 18 months.

You will conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections, maintain records, and ensure passenger safety while operating in various weather conditions. Valid WA license and Yakama Nation permit required.

Qualifications

• Must pass random drug and alcohol testing throughout the year.
• Must possess a First Aid/CPR card or obtain one within 6 months of hire.
• Must enroll in a Commercial Driver's License class within 18 months to obtain Class B or C CDL.
• Must have a valid Washington State Driver's License and Yakama Nation Driving Permit.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and file reports.
• Pick up passengers at designated areas throughout Toppenish and nearby towns.
• Follow safety rules as passengers board, alight, and move around the vehicle.
• Communicate service requirements to the Program Manager and Scheduler.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and assist with shelter areas and bus stops.
• Assist with snow removal and vehicle maintenance as needed.
