Job summary

Cowlitz Indian Tribe is seeking an Entry level Transit Driver in Longview, WA to provide safe transportation within the CIT service area. You will operate transit vehicles, assist passengers, maintain logs, inspect vehicles, and deliver excellent customer service on every trip.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 18+ years of age, and the ability to pass background and DOT checks. This is a full-time position in Public Works with a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Background checks and DOT screening may be required.
• 5-year driving abstract record required.

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and timely transportation for tribal members and the public per routes and schedules.
• Operates transit vehicle, handles equipment and ensures passenger safety.
• Maintains daily trip logs and completes routine vehicle inspections.
• Delivers professional customer service to internal and external customers.
