Job summary

The Rapid is seeking a Customer Experience Specialist to greet customers and provide accurate transit information in Grand Rapids, MI. You will process fare media sales, handle cash and electronic transactions, and support trip planning with professional and friendly service.

You will also respond to inquiries and compliments, maintain cash balance, and contribute to operational excellence through accurate paperwork and timely information.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years of in-person customer service experience and cash transactions.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office; ability to learn systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide positive, empathetic, and professional service to customers.
• Accurately sell fare media and handle cash/electronic transactions; balance cash and fare media.
• Monitor online sales and prepare bulk ticket orders; work with Finance for compliance.
• Deliver clear information about transit services and fare options.
