Job summary

Arcadis U.S.Inc. is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee transit capital projects, coordinating field construction activities with contractors and stakeholders. The role emphasizes safety, schedule adherence, and compliance with contract documents and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in construction management, with at least 3 years in transit or heavy civil infrastructure, and proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, Bluebeam, and Procore.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 7+ years in construction management with at least 3 years in transit/rail/heavy civil infrastructure.
• Experience overseeing field construction in active transit environments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day construction activities for transit projects (stations, trackwork, guideways, BRT corridors, maintenance facilities).
• Manage contractors, inspectors, and field personnel ensuring safety, quality and contract compliance.
• Review drawings and submittals; resolve constructability issues and field conflicts.
• Coordinate with transit operations, safety and third-party partners to minimize service impacts.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and regulatory compliance.
• Track schedule, support cost control, and prepare progress reports.
• Lead/assist change orders, claims, and risk mitigation.
• Facilitate construction meetings and maintain project records.
