Job summary

The City of Fayetteville is seeking a Transit Compliance Manager to oversee Title VI compliance and nondiscrimination across FAST programs, and to provide guidance to employees, contractors, and the public on transit policies. This role includes educational outreach, marketing, and related duties within the Transit Department.

Qualifications

• Four years increasingly responsible experience in public administration, transportation administration, planning or a related field.
• Experience with federal, state and/or local requirements regarding SBE, Title VI and EEO preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in business or public administration, planning, marketing or related field.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current plans and programs to ensure compliance with federal, state and local requirements.
• Coordinate with Purchasing Division to monitor contracts and payments; investigate and respond to transit complaints.
• Analyze progress toward goals and advise Transit, City Manager and City Council on compliance matters.
• Develop and maintain contract award database; prepare charts and reports summarizing statistics.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings; provide outreach to vendors and community organizations to advise contracting opportunities.
• Provide guidance to staff to ensure nondiscrimination and participation of all people in Transit programs.
• Review, record and process Transit-related complaints; assist in resolving deficiencies.
• Coordinate with Equal Employment Opportunity Office for EEO program compliance.
