Job summary

Chicago Transit Authority seeks a Manager to lead the EEO Unit, directing investigations, training, and affirmative action monitoring in accordance with FTA, EEOC, and applicable laws.

The role oversees Title VI/Title VII compliance, maintains records, and advises CTA leadership on EEO practices, while coordinating with multiple departments to resolve complaints and ensure fair workplace treatment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Public Policy or Business Administration plus five years of experience in Diversity, Fair Employment Practice Enforcement, HR, or Labor Relations.
• Advanced Degree preferred but not required.
• Prior managerial experience with EEO, Title VI, Title VII, or related work.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and manages the day-to-day operations of the EEO Unit, including investigations.
• Oversees Title VI and Title VII investigations and affirmative action monitoring.
• Develops and submits CTA's EEO program (EEOP) and Title VI Triennial report to the FTA.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
• Provides counsel to management on EEO practices and employment laws.
• Maintains comprehensive record-keeping and reporting for EEO initiatives.
• develops trainings on diversity and harassment prevention.
