City of Conroe is seeking a Communications Technician for the Transit Communication Center to receive and transmit messages by radio, telephone and teletype, handle emergency calls, and dispatch service.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 18+ years old, one year dispatcher experience, and a Texas CDL Class C with Passenger Endorsement. City benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement, PTO and pool access.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Minimum of one year experience as transit service dispatcher or scheduler.

Responsibilities

• Operate Transit Communication Center equipment to receive/transmit messages via radio, telephone, and teletype.
• Disptach calls for service and respond to emergencies.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow policies.
