Job summary

San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) seeks Code Compliance Inspectors to enforce transit regulations, ensure passenger safety, and issue citations as needed. The role involves varied shifts (4 days on, 10 hours per day), potential bike patrol, and coordination with police and contractors.

Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma, POST 832 PC Laws of Arrest training, a valid California driver’s license, and the ability to write reports in English.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• POST 832 PC Laws of Arrest before hire or within one year.
• Valid California driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Enforce ordinances and laws on MTS properties and vehicles.
• Prepare incident and arrest reports; testify in court when subpoenaed.
• Perform 4 day/10 hour shifts; may ride in bike patrol duties.
• Coordinate with supervisors, contractors and local agencies.
